Grants to Under graduate colleges to improve teaching of Economics at UG level:
Procedure adopted:
This is a one-time grant given to UG colleges recommended by the concerned Universities. The grant is limited to not more than Rs.50,000 per college. The grant is mainly utilized for purchase of equipments like computer with accessories, LCD, books and journals, etc. to improve the teaching of economics at undergraduate level. Universities are addressed by the Trust sometime in January asking them to recommend one or two deserving UG colleges for availing the grant. The colleges recommended by the Universities are given time up to March to send their detailed proposals. Grants will be released sometime during July/August and the colleges will have to submit the Utilisation Certificate after utilizing the allocation.
