Major Activities of Malcolm & Elizabeth Adiseshiah Trust

Though the Trust was registered during the year 1996 the Trust started functioning from the year 2001-02 i.e., after realizing the funds.

• Malcolm Adiseshiah Award for Distinguished Contributions to Development Studies: for an outstanding economist/social Scientist/historian

• Best Teacher in Economics Award conducted among autnonomous colleges in Tamilnadu

• Endowment with University of Madras to award a prize to the best outgoing M.A. Economics student

• Grants to various institutions

• Grants to Under Graduate Colleges to improve teaching of Economics at UG Level

• Grants to autonomous colleges/universities for taking up research projects

• Workshop for the Research scholars (Autonomous colleges/universities) selected by the PAC
